War of the Roses Collection
The War of the Roses was a civil war for the crown in 15th century England between the Yorks, represented by the white rose, and the Lancasters, represented by the red rose.

Raging on for over thirty years, it was a clash of wills between the two women behind these families, the Yorkist Elizabeth Woodville and the Lancastrian Margaret Beaufort.

Their respective approaches to power, paralleling the stereotyped avenues of advancement for women in power today, are the focus of this collection.
